Lindsay Schwartz-Flach
Lindsay Schwartz-Flach brings a wealth of elite athletic experience and leadership to the IAS team. A two-sport Division I athlete at the University of South Alabama, she was a standout in both volleyball and track & field while earning her degree in Sport & Recreation Management. After college, Lindsay focused on track & field professionally, earning spots on multiple U.S. National Teams and competing around the world for Team USA.
Now based in Texas, Lindsay works in Sport Performance and Club Volleyball, using her deep understanding of the student-athlete experience to mentor the next generation. She leads with strength, empathy, and a commitment to helping young athletes grow—on and off the field—through intentional development and forward-focused thinking.

Robert Beamer
Robert Beamer brings a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and athletics to IAS. With an extensive background in higher education, Rob has held key roles at prestigious institutions, including the University of Notre Dame, UCLA, and Loyola Marymount University. Most recently, Rob has been responsible for overseeing executive programs at these universities, honing his expertise in curriculum development and course delivery.
Rob’s passion for athletics began during his time as a Student-Athlete at the University of San Diego. He later combined his love of sports and education by coaching at both the high school and collegiate levels, including stints at Notre Dame, UC Santa Barbara, and UCLA. At IAS, Rob plays a pivotal role in shaping our innovative curriculum, ensuring that every program is thoughtfully designed to empower Student-Athletes to succeed academically, athletically, and personally.

Upon retiring, Barbara was ranked as the fourth-best American heptathlete in US history.
Barbara’s journey is particularly inspiring as she was a relatively unrecruited high school Student-Athlete who continued to grow and excel throughout college and beyond. Barbara’s role at IAS allows her to provide invaluable guidance, helping young athletes build the resilience, work ethic, and mindset needed to succeed at the highest levels.

Why We Started This?
The original concepts and ideas for INFLEXION came from years of working with Student-Athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.
Our team has had a front-row seat to the many challenges young people face — from the early days of high school athletics to the transition into college and beyond.
The reality is that while some Student-Athletes quickly adapt and thrive, many struggle to develop the structure, habits, and support systems they need. In our experience, most benefit greatly from carefully designed guidance long before they set foot on a college campus.
That’s why our services are built to support Student-Athletes at every stage of their journey — helping them gain the tools, mindset, and confidence they need to succeed both on and off the field.
Our Story
In 2022, our team began discussing the gaps we saw in the journey of Student-Athletes — not only as they prepared for and entered college, but also during their early high school years when habits, values, and identity begin to take shape. Our service offerings were developed from years of firsthand experience working with Student-Athletes at many different stages, each facing unique challenges and opportunities.
As we formalized our concept, we brought together the expertise of coaches, psychologists, athletic administrators, professors, and athletes to expand our content and strengthen the positive impact our programs can have across the Student-Athlete experience.
As a neutral third party, IAS provides a trusted space where Student-Athletes can be authentic and honest about their challenges, growth, and goals. Whether they’re just starting high school or preparing to compete at the next level, we exist to help them develop the mindset, structure, and confidence to succeed.
